Important Employment Information


Drug Testing:
Includes pre-employment and random.

Grooming and Conduct Standard:
Call to request a copy of employment information.

Wages (Entry-level):
Most positions begin above minimum wage.

Work Hours:
Schedule may fall on any day during the week including holidays. Some seasonal recreational positions qualify for overtime exception (allowing employees to work 56 hours per week at regular wage.)

Jobs:
Many jobs are physically demanding and may require lifting, bending, standing and kneeling.



Employee Benefits


Group Medical/Life Coverage: Eligibility requires employee works full-time (at least 32 hours/wk) continuously for 90 days and then becomes eligible on the first day of the next month. After 90 days of full time employment, employees only have 31 days to apply for Group Medical/Life Coverage. Employees become eligible for Dental coverage and Vision Coverage after one year of medical enrollment.

Flex-Spending Plan:
Eligible at same time employee becomes eligible for Group Medical/Life coverage and during annual Open Enrollment.

Dental Coverage:
Eligible one year following enrollment for medical coverage.

Vision Coverage:
Eligible one year following enrollment for medical coverage.

Sick Time:
After six months of continuous full-time employment employees accrue 40 hours of sick time. Sick time is capped at 120 hours.

Vacation Time:
After one year of continuous full-time employment employees accrue 40 hours of vacation time, after two years 80 hours and after five years 120 hours.

Pension and Profit-Sharing Participation:
Eligible after one year of continuous full-time employment with 1,000 hours.

Uniforms:
Two uniforms will be issued for some jobs. Laundering is provided free to employees.

Employee Housing:
The Company offers dormitory accommodation for full time employees. The dorms are very basic and the rent starts at $2.50/night. We offer single sex dorms with 1-4 people/room. There are also married dorms available; a written request must be submitted for review by the Dorm Committee. There are communal bathrooms and an employee cafeteria open for all meals. All linen is provided along with laundry facilities.
The dorms are on a first-come first-serve basis. Many employees locate their own accommodations through our local newspapers. They are both on-line: The Wood River Journal and The Idaho Mountain Express.

Winter Employee Recreational Benefits/Discounts Include but are not limited to the following: Full -Time Employees ONLY (this does not include dependants): Each week, Sunday through Saturday, full-time employees are eligible to do the following:

  • Ski & Snowboard Free -  Full-Time Employees only
  • 50% off ski & snowboard rental from Pete Lane's
  • Unlimited free cross-country skiing plus one rental per week at the Nordic Center
  • One free ice skating day plus rental equipment at the Sun Valley Ice Rink
  • Unlimited free movie pass to the Opera House
  • Free daily access to the Employee Gym
  • Ski Pass Discounts for Part-Time Employees are as follows:
       Baldy Season Pass $200
       Baldy Day Pass $10
       1/2 Day Pass $7
       Dollar Season Pass Free

Summer Employee Recreational Benefits/Discounts Include but are not limited to the following: Full -Time Employees ONLY (this does not include dependants): Each week, Sunday through Saturday, full-time employees are eligible to do the following:

  • Free daily access to ice rink, equipment is $3.50 per rental. Call for general admission sessions
  • Daily free movie passes at the Opera House
  • Discounted group golf clinics - (to be announced)
  • Free daily access to Employee Exercise room
  • Free access to Olympic Pool - limited hours
  • Free daily access to Bald Mountain lifts
  • Discounted rates for ice shows - as determined by the Recreation Department
  • Free tennis court rental (based on availability, this also includes dependents)
