The Sun Valley Freeride Snowsports team is a program for children and teens, age 6 through high school, designed to provide seasonal residents and guests with the opportunity to ski or board with the local kids. The coaching staff is experienced in working with youth and will include certified instructors and coaches from the Sun Valley Ski & Snowboard School and other guests as schedules allow.

The Freeride experience will include freeride, backcountry and avalanche awareness, snowboard, freestyle and cross-country depending on ability, availability and desire. The emphasis will be on safety, fun and learning in a high energy but non-competitive environment. Training is offered on Bald Mountain and is designed for intermediate to expert skiers and boarders only.
