Sun Valley’s SnowSports School offers children’s group lessons for skiers’ ages 4-12 and for snowboarders ages 6-12. We provide a fun, safe, and supportive environment, and we hand pick instructors who focus on developing skills and fundamentals while building confidence in each student. The lessons are offered in a camp setting daily beginning at 10:00 AM and ending at 3:00 PM. The day includes four hours of on-snow instruction along with supervised breaks and lunch. We conduct camps on both Dollar Mountain and at Bald Mountain depending on the child’s age and ability.
Dollar Mountain camps are tailored to the needs of the beginning to the low intermediate (levels 1-4) skier ages 4-12 and the beginning to the low intermediate (levels 1-4) snowboarder ages 6-12. Supervision begins at 8:30 AM and ends at 3:30 PM.
The "Bald Eagles" adventure camp strengthens technique for the 6-12 year-old intermediate to expert (levels 5-9) skier and snowboarder on Bald Mountain. Classes begin and end at the River Run Plaza. Supervision begins at 8:45 AM and ends at 3:45 PM.
We want your child to have the best experience possible. If you’re unsure if your child is at level 5 or higher, please start him/her at Dollar for a more enjoyable first lesson back on the snow. Your child can advance to Bald Mountain when ready. In your child’s best interest, we will move your child to the program and location best suited for his/her needs. Please note that the minimum age requirements are strictly observed for safety reasons and your child may be riding the chairlift alone.
