The Sun Valley area offers more than 30 miles of paved bike paths with no cars as well as hundreds of miles of single track mountain bike trails.
And, no visit to Sun Valley is complete without a trip to Bald Mountain. The world famous mountain is now open to sightseers and adventurers all summer long. Whether you are looking for a relaxing day in the wildflowers, or a challenging journey through the rugged beauty of Idahos wilderness, a day on Baldy promises an unforgettable experience.

Bike Rental: We have over 350 bikes on our rental fleet including:

You can rent for 4 hours or multiple days and our bike savvy staff will gladly provide you with a helmet, lock, maps of local trails, and suggested rides.
Didnt bring the right gear? Dont worry - Pete Lanes Mountain Sports has all the biking and hiking accessories youll need for a leisurely stroll, bike ride or an all day adventure.

Pete Lane's Outdoor Adventures: Idaho has four million acres of designated wilderness, the wildest state of all, with the exception of Alaska. If you want to get a taste of this beautiful states hiking and biking trails and other outdoor adventures but dont know where to begin, stop by Pete Lanes Mountain Sports Outdoor Adventure Center in the Village shop. Youll be on the right track in no time!
Lift Accessed Downhill Mountain Biking: Our sister shop at the base of Bald Mountain rents bikes specifically designed for going downhill. Included in the lift ticket price is a 3000 foot uphill ride to the top of Bald Mountain (along with your bike) and then miles of advanced mountain biking trails that bring you back to the base area. An adventurous half day activity not for the faint-hearted!

Broadway Trail
Considered one of the most beautiful trails in all of Sun Valley, it begins near Lookout Restaurant and leads west to Seattle Ridge. The two-way trail offers a spectacular view of the Sawtooth and Smoky Mountains and the hillside is covered with a blanket of wildflowers almost all summer long. This trail connects you to the Cold Springs or Warm Springs trails.
