Sun Valley offers nearly 28 miles of hiking and biking trails on beautiful Bald Mountain. Feel free to tackle the trails yourself, and discover what  makes the Bald Mountain experience so unique.

For the true "gear head," Bald Mountain offers everything from challenging uphill climbs to extreme downhill switchbacks covering over 3,000 vertical feet. A new five-mile trail system called the Sun Valley White Clouds hiking and biking trail is now open directly across the street from the Sun Valley Lodge entrance.  Take a hike around the new nine-hole White Clouds golf course with beautiful views of the valley.

Traverse Trail

The Traverse Trail is a 8 mile two way hiking and biking trail. From River Run, start at the Lower River Run Trail and meander up numerous switch backs as you gain elevation. Exit the trees prepare for a long grind up the access road where you top out at the base of Flying Squirrel. Hang on for a exciting downhill that takes you to the base of Warm Springs.

From Warm Springs, head up the Warm Springs Trail. Singletrack works it way gradually across the face of Warm Springs and then into woods. Take a left when you reach the Perimeter Trail sign for a short grind up to the base of Flying Squirrel. Get ready for a for a long roller coaster down hill to the base of River Run.
