The Sun Valley Nordic & Snowshoe Center is located at the 58,000 square-foot Sun Valley Club in the backyard of the world famous Sun Valley Lodge. This stunning facility features a restaurant, lounge, bar and locker rooms, along with equipment repair, rental and storage. Indoor virtual golf also adds to the list of extras.
Skiers' Shangri-La for 75 years
You will experience some of the best cross-country skiing in America, with unmatched trail quality, training programs, clinics, rentals and state of the art Clubhouse for skiers of all levels. With over 40km of trails groomed daily for skate and classic skiing, the Sun Valley Nordic & Snowshoe Center provides the ultimate experience. Gentle terrain morphs into challenging hills as the trail network leaves the Sun Valley Club. At 6000 feet, our trail system maintains consistent conditions without leaving you gasping for air. Top off your day of skiing or snowshoeing with a delicious lunch or hot beverage served daily at the Sun Valley Club.
Snowshoe Fun in the Sun
Get off the skis and try something different this season. Meandering through the stunning terrain surrounding the Nordic & Snowshoe Center our snowshowshoe trails provide your whole family a fun, unique and inexpensive winter sport experience. Snowshoe equipment for all ages is available for rent at the Sun Valley Nordic & Snowshoe Center.

Sweetheart Relays – February 12
A fun race for couples or the whole family. 6x1 km freestyle (classic & skate, chariots and similar devices welcomed). Must Kiss to tag off. Costumes are encouraged. 11 am start. Entry Fee: $15 per team. Call to register: 208.622.2250
Leif’s Race – February 18
Combined classic or skate, one time around Trail Creek Loop. Mass start at 1 pm.
Diamondback Revenge – March 10
Second annual, arguably the most challenging race in the valley, 10 km or 5 km of pure heart pumping bliss. Skate or classic, 11 am mass start. Nordic Town Race Series Finale. Awards and party following the race. Entry Fee: 10 km – $18 / 5 km – $13 Includes souvenir and lunch. Call to register: 208.622.2250

Sleigh Rides
A sleigh ride to Trail Creek Cabin for dinner has traditionally been one of the most memorable and fun Sun Valley winter experiences for the whole family. Round trip scenic rides are available Tuesday through Saturday and nightly during the Christmas holidays and President's Week. Private bookings are also available.
For dinner at Trail Creek Cabin, horse-drawn sleighs leave the Sun Valley Inn at 6 pm, 7 pm and 8 pm for a family style dinner Tuesday through Saturday. The ride lasts about 1/2 hour. Dress should be warm and blankets are provided. Because of the wild popularity of the sleigh rides to dinner at Trail Creek Cabin, reservations are required.
Sleigh reservations should be made well in advance to ensure availability. The purchase of a sleigh ride ticket confirms a reservation for dinner at Trail Creek Cabin. Dinner is additional and is paid for at the cabin. Reservations should be made through the Sun Valley Recreation Center: 208-622-2135.
Weather permitting, sleighs will run mid-December through March.

Tubing Hill
Dollar Mountain is the home of Sun Valley Resort's new Snow Tubing Park. Rubber meets the snow in three 600-ft. lanes. The Park is located by the Half-Dollar Lift and is serviced by a new 400-ft surface lift. New customized tubes are used for rides offering nearly 100 ft. of vertical. A fun on-snow activity for the entire family, The Tubing Park is just steps from Carol's Dollar Mountain Lodge so hot chocolate is nearby. The Lodge also provides an excellent buffet, the Sun Valley Snowsports Children's Center and Pete Lane's Mountain Sports.
