Enjoy an Evening at Elkhorn Grille

Are you looking to do something a little different on one of Sun Valley’s glorious, warm summer evenings that cry out for gathering with friends over a glass of wine and delicious food? Then give Elkhorn Clubhouse Grille a try. Located in the heart of Elkhorn Village, a short drive from the Sun Valley Village, the Grille offers a beautiful dining room, a full bar, and a spectacular deck – all yours to enjoy for lunch or an early dinner.

Try something new and enjoy lunch, an early dinner, or special theme nights at Elkhorn Grille this summer. The food is great and the specials prices unbeatable!

Now, there is even greater incentive to head over to start your week or kick off your weekend on exactly the right note. On Monday nights until 9 p.m., the Grille is offering a delectable burger special.  Starting at a mere $5, you can enjoy a selection of five specialty burgers. You will have to come back every week because the choices are too tempting. Try a Traditional House Burger with onion, tomato, lettuce, pickle, cheddar and special sauce or the Classic with cheddar, lettuce, onion, tomato, and pickle on the side. Feeling more adventurous? The Elkhorn Burger features ground elk, cheddar, bacon, grilled onions, lettuce and tomato. Like it hot? Then try the Spicy Senora with cheddar, grilled onions, special sauce. and fried jalapeno bottlecaps. And for the non-meat eaters in the group, the hand formed Black Bean Burger with feta, lettuce, tomato, and avocado is a great choice. Each comes with delicious chips but you can get fries for an additional $3. This is definitely the best deal in town.

Then, on Fish Fry Fridays, from 5:30 – 9 p.m. now through September 15, come to the Elkhorn Grille for all-you-can-eat Amber Battered Cod and Fries. Light, crunchy, and absolutely delicious, this meal is sure to please. And did we mention it’s only $12 for all-you-can-eat? The chef is also offering the perfect accompaniment, Elkhorn Clam Chowder, for $6 for a cup or $8 for a bowl.  If you want even more, the restaurant also offers a $12 shrimp cocktail, and hot crab and artichoke dip for $11. Two salads are also available – the fresh and light garden salad, and a traditional chicken Caesar. After an active day of golfing, mountain biking, fly fishing, hiking, sport shooting, horseback riding, and taking advantage of the seemingly unlimited ways to get outside and play in Sun Valley during the summer, treat yourself to this tasty – and super affordable – meal. You earned it!

The expansive patio at the Elkhorn Grille is the perfect backdrop for a gathering of friends or family

The regular menu at the Elkhorn Grille is pretty great, too.  Choose from appetizer favorites including truffle fries (yum!), crispy calamari, chicken quesadillas, and classic buffalo or honey barbecue wings. There are salads, from a traditional Chef to wilted spinach (baby spinach, feta, egg, red onion, cherry tomato and warm bacon vinaigrette), sandwiches, and even a slow roasted baby back rib platter. Dining is available in the classic clubhouse dining room or on the patio that offers spectacular views of the Elkhorn Golf Course and Dollar Mountain.

Whether you enjoy the regular menu or the Monday and Friday evening specials at the Elkhorn Grille, you too will give the experience an enthusiastic thumbs up

Recently, my party of four enjoyed a delicious lunch on the Grille’s expansive patio. I can’t speak to the whole menu as three out of four of us ordered the chef’s signature Fried Shrimp Po’ Boy sandwich, but the sandwich lived up to the hype and was crispy, not at all greasy, and extremely flavorful. Our fourth diner enjoyed a black bean burger that also got a big thumbs up.

After a busy day of keeping busy and active in Sun Valley, a meal at the Elkhorn Grille is sure to hit the spot.

A little off the beaten path, a meal at the Elkhorn Grille is a lovely respite on a busy summer day. The restaurant opens at 11:30 a.m. daily. For more information, please call 208-622-2820.

Cheers!
