Sale Season!

It’s sale season and now is the perfect time to put that gorgeous ski outfit or winter sportswear you have been eyeing for months in your closet.

Right now, the selection is great at both locations of the Brass Ranch (Sun Valley Village and the base of River Run) and at Pete Lane’s in the Village.

Be sure to stop into Brass Ranch, either in the Sun Valley Village or at the base of River Run, for some gorgeous skiwear at terrific prices

Selections from top designers like Bogner, KJus, Rossignol, Tecnica, Toni Sailer and many others grace the racks at Brass Ranch. Whether you prefer skiwear with an emphasis on high fashion or high function, this year’s jackets, pants, layering pieces and accessories are classic, colorful and eye catching. All skiwear is 40 percent off right now, yes 40 percent, and the staff at Brass Ranch recommends shopping soon to secure your favorite piece in the right size. Fall and winter sportswear is also on sale, at a whopping 50 percent off. Now is the time to browse the selection and take home some great deals. Personally, I am going to check in to see if the Toni Sailer jacket I have coveted all season is still there. Maybe it is meant to be!

At Pete Lane’s Mountain Sports, all adult skiwear from names like Spyder, Columbia, Patagonia and Mountain Hardwear is also currently 40 percent off. Sizes are going quickly, so be sure to swing by the Village as soon as possible. Also at Pete Lane’s, all children’s cold weather gear is also 40 percent off. Since your little one will definitely be a little less little by next ski and riding season, now is the time to get a great price on next year’s, one-size-up, snow outfit.  From one-piece down suits for the smallest shredders (or sledders) to performance pieces for big girls and boys, buying ahead makes a lot of sense.

Whether you are shopping for yourself or a lucky ducky child in your life, Pete Lane’s has a great selection of snow-wear for the entire family – all on sale now

If you care to look ahead to what’s new for 2017, Brass Ranch will be hosting a KJus trunk show on Sunday, March 27 featuring skiwear for next season. Wine and finger foods will be served, inviting you to linger over what is sure to be a fabulous line.

Another exciting reason to make sure you stop into Brass Ranch at River Run: to meet U.S. Ski Team member Mikaela Shiffrin. Mikaela, who won the Slalom top women’s title for the past three years and will be in Sun Valley competing in the Nature Valley U.S. Alpine Championships, will sign autographs at Brass Ranch from 4 to 5 p.m. on March 26. Please check back to this blog for more on this exciting event.

With more than 30 inches (yes, 30) of new snow on Baldy this week, you can break your new ski togs in now -- no need to wait for next season. The sun is shining, the snow is bountiful, and spring break après ski is in full swing. Slip into that skiwear you have been coveting and hit the slopes for some of the best conditions of the year. Spring skiing in Sun Valley truly is one of the most wonderful times of the year.

There’s no need to stash your gorgeous new jackets, pants and layers until next year. The snow just keeps coming and spring skiing in Sun Valley promises to be epic

The shops at Sun Valley are also filled with beautiful spring selections if your thoughts are turning to crocuses and long warm days. You can walk out with a perfect spring dress in one bag and a perfect puffy in another, so get shopping!
