Skiing & Riding
Weeks of warm weather still stretch before us – plenty of days to mountain bike, hike or golf among the glorious golden aspens – but now is also the time to think snow. Until September 7, winter passes will be available at the lowest prices of the season and you don’t want to miss out whether you are a weekend warrior or someone who strives to get 100-plus days on the hill.
When deciding on what pass to buy, it’s ok to dream a little. Close your eyes and picture your favorite run. Maybe the powdery Bowls after a good storm? Skiing or riding through gladed trails while the snow softly falls? Playing in the terrain park on Dollar on a clear bluebird day? Making first tracks on perfectly groomed slopes on Warm Springs on a Tuesday morning before work? All excellent choices.
Buy your pass today to save. Then, in a few short months, picture yourself here
To help these dreams come true, right now, all mountain passes are discounted and there’s a perfect one for you.
If you are dedicated to skiing or riding and know you will be getting out there as often as possible, consider a full Sun Plus Pass. With this option, you can take to Baldy and Dollar’s trails and terrain every day of the long season and enjoy some pretty great perks. For instance, with it, you also receive $40 off a Sun Valley Nordic Season Pass so you can also get your cardio in. You also receive six 50 percent off (no blackout dates) all day winter lift tickets in Sun Valley for friends and family, unlimited skiing/riding at Snowbasin, Utah, and discounted hotel rates at the Grand America and Little America hotels in Salt Lake City (on a space available basis). Right now, pay $1999, saving $400 on this ultimate pass. If you are 29 or younger, there is a great Young Adult Sun Plus Pass, too. Right now, get all the perks at a great discount rate of $1239 – saving $200.
The regular Winter Season Pass is also discounted $400 until September 7, selling for $1749. This option also gets you unlimited days on Baldy and Dollar and everything that comes with it. If you don’t see yourself taking advantage of all the perks that come with the Sun Plus Pass, then this is for you. If you only have time to ski two top to bottom runs on a weekday or want to spend opening chair to closing chair on the hill, you will get your money out of this pass. Again, there is a young adult version of this pass. Right now, it is selling for $1069, a savings of $210. Both also offer unlimited access to Sugar Bowl during the 2015-16 Winter Season.
Whether you can ski 15 days in a season or 115, now is the time to get your pass and get ready
Don't see yourself skiing or riding more than 15 days this winter? There’s a pass for you that will get you out there for some epic fun. Right now, for $929 (a savings of $270), you can navigate the moguls, ski the corduroy, ride the rails and have an amazing time with no restrictions, blackout dates or per week limitations. Additional days above the original 15 may be purchased for a $69 discount rate – again, no blackout dates. And if you find you are having the best season ever and your schedule permits, you may upgrade this pass to a Full Season Pass at any time (at the current price).
Need flexibility? There’s a pass for that, too. The aptly named Flex Plus Pass offers unlimited early/late season fun plus one day a week during the regular and peak season. If you want to add days, it also gives you $25 off the regular price during the regular season. Right now this pass costs $879 dollars – a nearly $200 savings.
And there are also all the locals’ favorites: the Early/Late Pass and the College Season Pass, on sale now.
