Private Lessons

Learning Quickly, One-on-One

Without a doubt, one-on-one instruction is the fastest way to improve your skills and lead you quickly to the next level! Your private instructor, who becomes a new-found friend before you realize it, will lead you quickly to higher achievement. All levels of skiers and snowboarders can benefit from our experienced, highly skilled and professional instructors. Dollar vs Baldy: Pick a Mountain, Any Mountain!

Sun Valley offers private lessons on both Bald Mountain and Dollar Mountain for all ages. We recommend beginners and low intermediate skiers and snowboarders start at Dollar Mountain. Dollar offers gentle, treeless terrain and provides the beginner to intermediate skier with the perfect environment to learn. Dollar Mountain is also home to the new and progressive terrain based learning center, new adventure trails and a variety of terrain parks.

For intermediate to expert skiers and snowboarders, take a lesson at Bald Mountain which offers more challenging and diverse terrain.

You can have a group of up to 4 additional family members or friends join your private lesson for no additional charge. You'll experience the best time if your group likes to ski or board on similar terrain and is closely matched in capability.

A Family Affair

You and your family can build your own unique all day lesson experience with one of our instructors. Maybe Dad wants to take an early-up for first tracks. Mom isn't into bumps but wants to improve her carving. The kids are ready to have their first big mountain experience. The Family Private is designed to fill all of these needs. Let us help you design that special day on Dollar, Baldy or both. One day, one price, one instructor - great value, great memories, great times!

Luckily, Cyril Chappellet, the second generation owner of Chappellet Winery in Napa Valley, is here to level the playing field for academics and enthusiasts alike. Standing at least a head taller than most in the room, he remarks decisively that he’s “not here to tell you what’s going on in your mouth.” He will instead offer a rare adventure behind the...
