Sun Valley Nordic Festival

January 28 - February 5th - The 2012 Sun Valley Nordic Festival is a week filled with nordic skiing, demonstrations, races, seminars, and activities all culminating with the Boulder Mountain Tour.
Sun Valley hosts the Winter Sun Classic Nordic Race, a precursor to the 2013 US National Masters Championships. 10 and 5km, 10am mass start. Registration at the SV Nordic Center begins Tuesday, 1/31, and ends Wednesday, 2/1 at 8:30am Entry Fee: 10km - $15, 5km - $10. Awards at 12:30pm. Call 208.622.2050 for more information.

With now over 35" of snow in the past week, skiing/riding is incredible on all of Bald Mountain's drainages: Seattle Ridge, River Run, Warm Springs, Frenchman's, Cold Springs and The Upper & Lower Bowls. To tame your hunger of skiing/riding, all mountain restaurants are open with full services.
Dollar Mountain is open top to bottom with 3 terrain parks to shred along with the 437' Superpipe and the Family Cross Course. For non-skiers, the Tubing Hill open daily for alternative family fun!

Sun Valley Resort's Ski Free Package begins January 3 and runs through most of the ski season, ending March 31, 2012.
