Sun Valley Resort is stoked to welcome guests back for the 88th winter season on November 23, 2023. Join the festivities at the River Run base area, where the magic unfolds from 9am onwards. It's not just an opening but a celebration for the exciting winter to come. We can't wait to welcome you back to the slopes.
Opening Day Line-Up

Breakfast On The Go
Grab your morning coffee and pastry before the mountain opens at our mini Konditorei, conveniently located at River Run Lodge.

Terrain Open
Be there at 9am as we open the River Run lift and Lower River Run for the 88th season.

Live DJ
DJ Alex will spin tunes at the River Run Plaza from 8am-2pm.

Hot Cocoa
Warm up with Hot Cocoa in Sun Valley’s classic winter season mugs. They will be available on a first come first serve basis. Come early!
