Land Stewardship Projects

Your Generosity Will Help These Special Projects

When you visit Sun Valley, you join a community that deeply treasures its natural surroundings. Our trails, rivers, forests, and wildlife are the heart of what makes this place so memorable.

Our guests can choose to make a $5 donation to the National Forest Foundation (NFF) when purchasing a Sun Valley product. These contributions are forwarded directly to the NFF to support critical conservation efforts in the Sawtooth National Forest and the Ketchum Ranger District.

2026  –

Thanks to the combined support of our guests, we allocated $80,000 in 2026 toward three key projects designed to protect our land and enhance recreation for generations to come:

Fox Creek Bridge:

This project will replace the pedestrian bridge on the Fox Creek Trail, which was damaged by recent floods. This bridge serves over 26,000 visitors annually, supporting one of the most popular recreation sites in the Ketchum Ranger District.

Big Wood River Watershed Restoration:

This initiative supports collaborative restoration within the Big Wood River watershed. Funding will provide three conservation interns dedicated to combating invasive weeds and supporting biodiversity.

Wood River Trails Coalition – Hybrid Trail Crew:

This partnership supports a specialized crew focused on the maintenance, restoration, and rehabilitation of our extensive trail network throughout the Ketchum Ranger District.
