Where to Eat and DrinkNo matter what brings you to the mountains, alpine living works up an appetite. Come explore Sun Valley’s distinctive restaurants for a look at what’s available when you’re hungry.
The Austrian-inspired Konditorei warms you by the fire with fresh-baked pastries, locally roasted, fair trade and organic coffees, and the kind of Old World hot cocoa that’s equal parts steamed milk and melted dark chocolate. And if you’re seeking something beyond continental café fare, Konditorei offers classic dishes to bring you to an alpine state of mind in the chalet-inspired dining room.
Enjoy a wide selection of cocktails and craft beer on tap, as well as a crowd-pleasing menu of classic American favorites—hearty cheeseburgers, chicken wings, pizza and family-style salads. Four big screen televisions and ample seating make it the perfect place for your group to gather on game day.
Sun Valley’s original restaurant, The Ram has been warming and welcoming diners since 1937. This rustic-yet-elegant dinner house has been recently modernized, while still preserving its historic charm
Sun Valley Club
The Sun Valley Club has all the trappings of an exclusive golf club, without any of the barriers: Everyone is welcome at the table. Among the most popular places in Sun Valley to eat, drink and relax, the wraparound terrace offers stunning views of Bald Mountain, Dollar Mountain, and the 18-hole Sawtooth Putting Course.
Located at the Lodge, Gretchen’s restaurant welcomes you with easy access for terrace dining during the summer. Enjoy lunch and full bar service. Sun Valley’s own Gretchen Fraser is the restaurant’s namesake, the first American to win an Alpine Olympic Gold Medal.
Perched atop the Roundhouse Express gondola on Bald Mountain, The Roundhouse has been serving up memorable meals, soul-warming drinks, stunning views, and good cheer since 1939. It will be open this summer with outdoor seating only.
