Work at Sun Valley Resort

At Sun Valley Resort we have a wide range of seasonal, part-time and full-time employment positions across our mountain, retail, food & beverage, recreation and administrative locations. Please take a look at the positions listed to see which of our teams are hiring and the skills they are seeking. We constantly update our list, so please continue checking to see what is new.

We look forward to receiving your application and hope that you can join our team in this beautiful year-round mountain location! This way, you, too, can take advantage of our benefits and numerous winter and summer recreation opportunities!

Important Information: Employee IDs

Your Employee ID is your ticket to enjoy all that Sun Valley has to offer! It’s your ski pass, your tool for clocking in to work, and scans for 20% off our restaurants (and who doesn’t want a Village Station Pizza?!). You thus get the idea that your employee ID is very important. If you break or lose your ID, go to the Human Resources front desk for a replacement. You are allowed three free reprints, and then it's $10 cash for each reprint thereafter.

J1 Visa

Sun Valley works with the Summer Work and Travel Program and Intern/Trainee programs under the J1 type visa. We use InterExchange, CIEE, and Greenheart as sponsors. If you are new to the program you will need to follow the Direct Placement protocol. We recommend that you contact one of the approved Sponsors and inquire about which local agencies they work with in your area. They will be able to help you get the process started and assist with the various steps in the process.

Sun Valley Resort participates in the H-2B Visa nonimmigrant program for the winter season only (October through April). This program allows Sun Valley to hire nonimmigrants to perform nonagricultural labor or services in the United States. Sun Valley provides in-country and out-of-country hires for various positions depending on the demand. Please check our job board to see which positions we will offer each winter season. Winter H-2B positions are posted on July 1. The best way to get interviewed for our limited number of H-2B positions is first to apply online.
