Spring Getaway at Sun Valley

Spring Getaway at Sun Valley

Book your Spring Getaway to Sun Valley with 15% off lodging from March 20th to the end of season.

As the sun rises earlier and earlier over the mountains, many skiers and riders view the additional daylight as the traditional curtain call on another winter season. While the onset of spring can signal the beginning of the end, this year, the influx of continued fresh snowfall has created the perfect opportunity for some beautiful spring skiing. Soft snow below and blues skies above, coupled with extended daylight hours, makes for more exploration time both on and around our mountains.

Catch a movie night at the Sun Valley Opera House or pose for a photo-op by the iconic Old Sun Valley Barn.

Or, take on the town! Peruse the collection at the Sun Valley Art Museum or learn more about the history of the area at the Regional History Museum or walk in Ernest Hemingway footsteps at local haunts like the Pioneer Saloon or Casino Bar. With more sunshine, your spring stays at Sun Valley will be packed with more opportunities to enjoy the best off-mountain exploration.

End the Season with a Bash

While we hate to say goodbye to our beloved mountains at the end of each spring, we love to say farewell with two all-out bashes.  The year-end celebrations kick-off with the annual Dollar Dayz pond skim on March 26th. Wear your best tropical-themed costume and come ready to enjoy BBQ, a family scavenger hunt, and to watch participating skiers and snowboarders try to get to the other side of the cold bowl pond. Then, on April 8th, bid farewell to Baldy’s winter season at the base of Warm Springs for our annual Baldy Bash street party. Come celebrate with live music, creative costumes, and one final day of great spring skiing!

And with the changing season comes the ideal opportunity for area residents to enjoy the Spring Getaway package! Residents of Idaho and Utah can enjoy 15% off selected lodging types, with proof of residency, from Monday, March 20th through Monday April 17th.
