Sun Valley on Ice Returns
Star-studded lineup includes Olympians Nathan Chen and Jason Brown
Sun Valley, Idaho (June 24, 2021) – Olympians and National Champions are among the star-studded lineup of performers headlining the 2021 Sun Valley on Ice show. Many of the best figure skaters in the world, along with the talented Sun Valley cast, are returning for another season at the iconic outdoor ice rink. The season kicks off July 3 and occurs most Saturdays through Labor Day weekend.
“We are beyond thrilled to welcome back the world-class ice shows this year,” stated Scott Irvine, the producer of Sun Valley on Ice. “It’s truly a one of a kind experience that features the best skaters performing under the stars in an unparalleled setting. As we’re emerging from such a difficult year, we’re excited to come together and experience the collective emotions of the skaters and their performances. The starting number, set to the song “Seasons of Love” from the musical Rent, is sure to tug at everyone’s heartstrings.”

The event setup has changed this year in order to maximize space. The grandstand, close to the action seating now available, will be sold in pods of 2, 4, 6, and 8 to allow for social distancing.
Sun Valley will offer the terrace as premier seating but will not serve food this year. Bars will be available in both sections for beverage purchase throughout the show. “Although the experience will look a little different from previous years, we are excited to host this iconic Sun Valley summer event once again,” stated Bridget Higgins, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the Resort.
The resort encourages all attendees looking to dine before the show to make a reservation at one of the Sun Valley Resort restaurants. Seating for the show will begin at 8:30 PM.
