Taryn Smith is the first American woman to compete in the World's Toughest Row as a solo athlete. Before rowing 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean, completely alone, Taryn spent five years living and working at Redfish Lake Lodge in Stanley, Idaho. Her love of adventure was born in the Sawtooths, something she carried throughout her crossing. Amidst 30 foot waves, sharks, and unrelenting wind, Taryn found happiness and purpose. Her message is simple: we are meant to do big things and the resilience required comes from community.

Taryn will be presenting a slideshow about her journey across the Atlantic Ocean, and will be joined by Bea Franklin, a professional soccer athlete who also resides in Sun Valley, for a Q&A at the end.
